Since returning to full-time employment earlier this year, I’ve been in a little bit of a creative funk. Not sure what caused it. Was it the security of a regular paycheck? Was is it the lack of using my web skills in the job?
I’ve been neglecting my professional website for freelancing for a while. Every time I looked at it, I felt restless. I knew I wanted to freshen it up, but I wasn’t sure exactly what I wanted to do. Samuel L. Jackson has played some fun characters with great lines and unique delivery. In that vein, there is a fun Lorem Ipsum creator called Samuel L. Ipsum that uses many of his great lines as placeholder text. The standard version of the generator incorporates many of his famous lines including profanity. If that you’d rather not have profanity, you have the option of using the standard generator with the usual gibberish.
I’m sure you can figure out which one I like best.
For a while, I’ve been wanting to redesign my professional website, but wasn’t sure what direction I wanted to go in. Once I had my idea, I decided to create an actual typographic-based logo. The above is the result.
